I have been visiting this site for quite some time and found it to be one of the best on the Web. After three heart attacks and a few other health problems, I decided to retire. I sewed years ago for my two daughters and decided that it would be a good way to occupy myself. My DH is the recipient of several pairs of shorts/pyjamas and once I get over my fear of knits - I hope I can make acceptable garments for my 14year old granddaughter. I'm currently working on the wrap around skirt I found here and I'm sure I'll be making many visits here in the future for the very helpful tips that can be found here. |

Hey, welcome kinda neighbor. I'm across the county from you. ![]() So many of us here have started up again after leading busy lives for so long. Along with time we also tend to have a bit more cash than we did back in those days with little children. Makes it even more fun. It is a great place here on this board. Lennie |

Hi and welcome Miss Marple, Good to have you here. Don't be too scared of knits - they're pretty forgiving. Make the first couple of things into sleepwear and by then you'll have got the hang of it. Pauline
