I had a customer ask about a new foot that helps on the "Drunkards Path". She said it was called "something almode". Does anyone know what she is talking about?

Tom, I wish I could help you, but I have never heard anything "almonde" in regards to sewing feet. I did a search on google and is it possible your customer might be getting it confused with a Pattern company? - as a la mode? Patty

There is a foot named "Curve Master" for use with this pattern.

A friend of mine told me she had bought a special foot for her Janome 6500 that helps sew/applique circles. Maybe this is what she is talking about? I think it could be used to sew/applique a circle to a square and cut into 4 sections. Just a thought as I really never heard of it before yesterday. http://janome.com/product_show.php TTFN from

I see that I mispelled (what else would you expect from an English Major) what the customer called the foot. The customer called it a "something a-la-mode". From the responses I think I will begin by researching "circle a-la-mode" and "pie a-la-mode". Quilters can get so creative at times.

Are they talking about the Circular sewing attachment maybe ? That's not al a mode but the only thing that comes close to a circle from Janome. I have it & it does make a number circle sizes & you can do half circles as well even though it doesn't really show that. Just play with it & it can do more than it says. |

It's not the Circular stitcher. I'm off to Germany for a couple of weeks with a lot of other dealers in the AM. Surely one of them will know something about it by now. (or it may turn out that my customer has very vivid dreams and just thinks she saw the foot) Thanks everyone. Have fun or don't do it, Tom
