If anyone here has family or relatives at the Virginia Tech campus, please know how shaken I am (and I am sure I speak for everyone on SWN) is for you.

I am sending prayers and hopes for a less hostile world, but most importantly right now, comfort and peace to the entire campus community.

Out on the road all day and listened to news radio. What a tragedy.

So many, many people are affected by this. Each death is felt a hundred times over by the larger circle of friends and family.

Comming in from the grocery my husband greeted me with the sad news. My prayers are surely with the families of these people. There is more people hurt besides the ones that died. I pray they will all recover from this tragedy.
I'm regressing back into my youth, I just have to figure out how I'm going to convience my body to come along with me.

I am in nothern Virginia and news coverage of this tragedy was on tv all day yesterday. It was heart wrenching to hear some of the witnessess tell their stories. Even those who were not physically injured will have psychological wounds to deal with for a long time.

It's very, very tragic!

There is a lady here in Halifax whose daughter attends that school. Thank goodness the daughter contacted her right away and she is ok. What a national tragedy. Horrible to say the very least.

Many local churches and colleges are holding memorial services today for those lost and the survivors. A large number of the student body at VT is from this area so we are all reeling from this tragedy. Many families jumped in cars and immediately headed for the campus 5 hours away. My thoughts and prayers are with them all.

We heard on the local News tonight that one of the Prof. that was killed was from Toledo Ohio and went to college at John Carroll University in Cleveland and then went on to teach at Virginia Tech.

My prayers to all.
My son (my youngest) just left last night to go back to college here in Ohio, and it was hard. It was almost as difficult this time to let him go as when he left the first time. You just don't know what is going to happen when they walk out the door.

Rita J...I thought the same thing. My daughter is in Worcester and my son is at Plymouth. I called both and had to leave messages. I was so shaken as I know all of you wre too. It was such a tradedy for all fo the families as well as all of us here in the US. Having a child away is hard enough as it is. But once you hear of something like this it is just to close to home no matter how far away you are.

My deepesty sympathy and prayers for all those who have been touched by this terrible news.
