Isn't it great when people "of a certain age" try something new. She sounds like she would be an interesting person to talk with. My Grandfather was about 84 when he got a computer ~ keep in mind that was about 24 years ago! As long as you still have a pulse, jump in with both feet and give it a try. Hi Piney... That was a neat article. My grandfather was bored in the winter when he retired and couldn't work in his garden, so he learned needlepoint. My grandmother does lots of handwork, so she taught him to do it. It made my son understand that just because he was a boy, it didn't mean he couldn't learn to do things like that. |

Hope my eyesight last long enough for me to be sewing at that age. It's pretty cruddy already! It drives hubby mental, but I try and learn one new thing every year - but only in sewing/craft areas of course!
