Does the sticker on the end of a bolt of fabric at a store have the weight of the fabric hidden or coded on it?

I need a 6-8 oz fabric for a project and am trying to figure out how I will know the weight of my fabric auctions.

Pam,
Do you need fabric or batting? Batting comes in weights like 4-6-8-10, but I myself have not seen fabric like this.

I've only ever seen the weight on denims on the bolt label.

Only on batting not on fabrics. Fabrics will have the widths & materials contents with washing instructions. :USA:
