Hi, My husband has a friend that needs to have a watch pocket put on a pair of pants( the dickie pants, they don't make them with watch pockets any longer). any one have any advice, or suggustions, I can see in my mind, but getting it from there to the pants is the problem. Thanks Judymo |

Are you planning to just put a patch pocket on top of the pants (easy) or are your going to get all fancy and put in a welt pocket??

not fancy, not a welt pocket, since I posted that message, my husband found another friend of his that actually has awatch pocket in a pair of pants so the friend said I could take the watch pocket out and make a pattern out of it, so that Is what I am going to do. thank you for you interest. Oh that is great. The problem is that if you put on a patch pocket it may be hard to match the fabric (unless he has an old pair of pants the same color) but welt pockets are just yucky to add to a finished garment too. I'm glad they are helping you out! Often seeing one is the easiest way to get it done.
