Being Grandma means spoiling them and then giving them back when you have to sit down and take a break. LOL Naomi this is the best time of our lives. Especially the first one. I think this is God's gift to us for being parents. Grandkids!!!!! YahhhhWHOOOOOO

Congratulations!!!
It seems like yesterday when I found out about my DD & she is now due in 6 weeks (or less, twins).

Have fun & enjoy them while they are small. My first will be 9 this summer & his brother 6 next month. It seems like yesterday they were babies.

Congrats Naomi, I agree with Susie, it is God's way of rewarding us for being parents. You better get those receiving blankets going! LOL Grandkids are truly a gift from God. Enjoy the fun to come.

I was told how great Grandkids were but really didn't know just how much until I had one of my own. It's funny but my SIL and Brother just found out they were grandparents this summer the child is almost 2 now poor things missed out on the 1st birthday too, it's a long story but my nephew had to go to court and get DNA before the other Grandparents would believe it was his child. Long story, the girl had an affair with my nephew right before she got married and then got married to another man and had him and her parents believeing it was the husbands. When my nephew found out it was his he fought to get the DNA and now they get the baby but they glow with this baby. It's their first and probably will be their last she says but I don't know about that. But that goes to show you the First Grandbaby really makes you shine!!!! Makes not killing your kids when they were little worth it all. LOL We Grandma's want to hear all the details too Naomi the whole 9 months and 18 yrs. ROFL

Thanks everyone for your Congrats!!!!! I don't think that it has really sunk in to any of us yet!!! SIL's younger brother seems to be the one only on that side that is happy about it. Should have expected that one coming, given all the headaches we had with the planning of the wedding!! Oh well, I'm happy as a June Bug at a Fire Fly Convention!!
I had to laugh when I told SIL that "twins" run in BOTH SIDES of "Grandpa to be's" family. I thought that he was going to pass out!!! Most likely my DS will have a better chance of having the twins, as the only ones who seem to have them are all of the male family members. But for some reason they all appeared on the second pregnancies with the nephews wifes.

Congratulations on becoming a 'Nana' I'll echo all the other happy comments! I just finished opening a Mother's Day from our daughter and grandsons. The card is beautifully handcrafted with a poem from our Josiah, 4 yrs. The tears are still flowing. All the very best for a good pregnancy. Take good care.
