Men are the same the world over! If I hadn't nagged mine to visit an Immediate Care center 5 years ago, he wouldn't be here today! He kept telling me it was "just" a cold and to back off. Needless to say, he ended up with CHF and double-pneumonia. He was 41 at the time. So they're right...nagging does work! Geesh, men are so stupid sometimes! Peggy

I nagged my husband to go in for a check up and when the doctor asked him why he was there he said, "Because my wife made me." Turned out he had very high cholesterol. Good article. |

I tried for years and years to get my hubby to go to the Doctor; after at while back He wasn't feeling to good. 'Well I have been going to my doctor , Our family doctor for 27 years. I had to beg and pled with the girl who does the appointments to get my husband back on our doctor's list. My doctor has been so poplor that he had to quit taking in new patients. and so, I had to really get on her. She finally gave in when I told her that I would contact the doctor myself and that got her My husband couldn't understand at the moment that our doctor couldn't see new patients. Hubby kept say he wasn't new. Ha. Oh boy , Men. I know I have a guradian angel watching over me. I am very gratefull. PINKROSES

My DH is pretty good about getting regular medical checkups. That is partly my nagging and partly seeing male friends and relatives deal with prostate cancer and in one case, die. But he does not always use proper ear and eye protection when he is using tools. Just two days ago I caught him cutting grass with ear muffs on but no safety glasses. It's a new mower and he has complained about the powerful engine blowing up clouds of dirt and debris. |
