I'm in the mood to jazz up a few of my dds outfits with a bit of bead and/or sequin embellishment but I'm lacking inspiration. All I can find on the internet is beading for jewellery making. Anybody know of any good sites?

Did you look for magazine web sites? There are several beading magazines here. Dorothy |

Here are some of the sites from my favorites list. I use these from time to time for inspiration when I feel like making something special. Hope they help. http://old.medievalbeads.com/notes.shtml http://cqmagonline.com/vol03iss02/articles/art256/index.shtml http://www.beadwrangler.com/samplers/netting1/making_bead_netting_samples1.htm http://www.beadwrangler.com/samplers/embroidery1/making_embroidery_samples1.htm http://beadwork.about.com/library/weekly/neha.htm Sandy |

When you are done, can I send you my jean jacket to embellish?? I want to do it, I just hate hand sewing.

I'll do your hand embroidery/beadwork if you'll do all the machine work I want done. Think very very carefully before you answer. I think that's where my impulse came from. I'm starting to crave an embroidery machine but don't really have space or money for what I want at the moment. Although I'd find the space if I had the cash. I can fit a lot of furniture in my garage. Pauline

I'm wanting a machine that also embroiderys and beads at the same time - and cuts the button hole open once the machine makes it. Ya think I'll ever get one????

I'm sure you could if you had enough money to spend. I think they're called dressmakers.

Be sure and consider the hot fix crystals. They don't have edges to snag and come loose, they are quick to fix...you don't leave them all over the place when you leave and they are easy and fun to apply. Don't think that all are created equal though. The swartzki (ok, so that isn't even close) crystals are lovely and they stay through laundry after laundry even on childrens' clothing and knits.

I agree the hot fix crystals are the best thing I have found in a long time. Use the tool, it is easy and fun. I used them on sychro swim suit costumes and not a single one has fallen off. I used to use E6000 glue and it would change the clarity and we were always replacing the crystals. good luck Life is short, smile and enjoy the ride!
