Mothers Day was last Sunday. I hope everyone had a great one. I worked, (I work at a large chain fabric store), and we were busy. Lots of males in trying to figure out what to buy, but also lots of women. I got a kick out of the moms grandmom and daughters out shopping. How many of you went shopping for fabric/craft related things? Many of the women would say things like I sorry you are working on Mothers Day, or something to that effect. I am lucky that the store I am at has a great store manager and great people to work with. We all brought in something to eat so we had our own little party. But just out of curiosity how many of you went shopping on Mother's Day? Summer

I had a whole weekend to be the star!! My daughter and her boyfriend from New York showed up Friday night -- the other one was here the last week but had to meet with her lace guild Mother's Day weekend. They took me to the zoo Saturday. It was great fun. On Sunday, after brunch, my daughter went home and my husband took me to Michaels to buy yarn. Then I had the rest of the day to knit. It was a mighty fine weekend. Dorothy |

I went to visit my Mom that day. She had a dr.'s appt. the next day so I spent the night getting home late afternoon yesterday. We shopped most of the day Sunday but for necessaries since my Mom doesn't drive anymore. It was a nice day but pretty normal. Lennie |

I went to Hancock's of course and found the sheer drapery fabric for my living room. Of course, I'm not a mother, just a god mother. Patsy Patsy

I stayed home on Sunday. We went to the Ga. Renfest on Sat. and I needed to recover on Sunday. So I went to Church and then came home. My oldest dd(17) made muffins for breakfast and my youngest(15) cooked lunch. Then they went to DQ for an ice cream cake. I received a "Mother" charm bracelet, a package of FUDGE, a Gooseberry Patch cookbook and a bluetooth headset for my phone. I also got a card from DH and one from the DDs. I'm really spoiled, aren't I? |

After church, I went to the Cemetery and carried a wreath of lilac blooms to put on my DM's grave.. Took a little quiet time there to meditate and reflect.. Then I stopped on the way back to shop in KMart since I had a $10. coupon to spend.. I got a new summer outfit. Skirt, pants and top all co-ordinated.. Rayon Crinkle , so it will be nice and cool this summer.. and of course its low maintenance.. Just wash, let dry, and wear.. My son the chef of my house made me a delicious Omelet for breakfast, and also a delicious dinner of some of my other favorites.. Pretty nice Mothers Day, all things considered..
