hi there, i'm new, and pretty much a novice at sewing ^-^

however, i've designed myself a pretty nice halter top for summer, and i'm sick of zippers, so I decided to go with elastic. Problem is, I've never worked with eleastic! Any ideas on how to put elastic in the back of my shirt??

thank you!

If you have a digital camera or a web cam you could send a picture and someone would be better able to advise you. There is always someone here that can help with a sewing problem.

I'd probably make a casing by folding over just a tiny bit more than the width of the elastic before sewing the back to the front at the side seams. Insert elastic through the casing, sew it down at both ends and sew the back to the front.
That's if your design has side seams.
