http://inlinethumb57.webshots.com/5048/2087344170026641850S425x425Q85.jpg This was taken a while ago, but I thought it is worth sharing. After all, who does not like cute pet photographs? I had just come home from the fabric store and purchased some batting to use in the handles of my purses and tote bags. No sooner had I set it on the cutting table, Phoebe came to inspect it and decided it was her new bed. I did not even have the opportunity to take it out of the plastic bag. Well, after getting her off the new batting, I filled a pillowcase with some soft fiberfill and gave it to her. It was an acceptable substitute. Eventually, I will make a real pillow for her. She's so pretty. She looks comfortable. My cat, Cupcake does the same thing when I lay a new bag of fabric down. Trying to baste a quilt is really hard with him around. He keeps flopping down on it. I have to shut him out of the room. |

Hey -- Now that you mention it, how is old Cupcake? A regular house cat by now? My cat is always trying to lay on stuff on my sewing table -- stuff like fabric and unfinished work. I try to keep pins sticking out of it to discourage such behavior. Dorothy |

Cupcake is doing great. He's sitting here in my lap purring as I type. (Know how to get white kitty fur out of a keyboard? That's becoming a problem) Hubby has gotten used to him being in the house but still won't call him by his name. He's sometimes called Thumper when he bounces down the hallway at 2:00 in the morning looking for someone to refill his food bowl. A couple of days ago, hubby and I were in the basement and heard a loud THUMP THUMP THUMP up above us. He blamed it on our son until I told him it was Cupcake running across the floor. |

Aw, how cute. My cat is crazy about fabric too. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/e-zabelle/pix%20for%20boards/06-08-21ptitemignonne2ptit.jpg Does yours also make a strange face when she realizes that the bed she loved turned into a skirt or a dress for you? Mine does. The most challenging though is cutting out my pattern and fabric. I need to do that on the floor and she is magnetically attracted to paper and fabric on the floor. Drives me crazy! My as unquilted quilt is just a cat bed that I put an extraordinary amount of work into. They all love it. Finally covered it with a towel to cut down on the powerful shedding that has recently started around here. Cute, cute pictures.......leave it to a cat to find the most comfortable place in the house. Lennie |

Phoebe loves to inspect all new things which come into the house. Eddy likes to "help" me cut out my patterns and fabric. Admittedly, Eddy's more of a hinderance, so I keep the kitties out of the sewing room. But, every now and then, they do make it in and then I'm left with cleaning up after them and removing as much fur as I can. As far as cat fur (any color) on and in the keyboard, a few blasts with an air can works well. Jeff tells me to get a cover for the keyboard, but I don't like typing through those, it slows me down.
