Hi to all,
I've just found the sew-whats-new page! What a great resource for my sewing ideas.
I'm a wife, mom, and grandmother, and also a fulltime school librarian. I am nearing the end of the school year (yeah!) and am anxious to get started on some of my sewing projects that are long overdue to be finished.
I have been sewing since I was in 3rd grade, when my mom taught me how to stitch on her 1953 Pfaff. I managed to make something every Saturday morning while watching Sheri Lewis and LambChop! That was one workhorse of a sewing machine! It still works like a charm today!
I sew on a newer Pfaff now, along with a vintage Babylock serger. I'm interested in getting an embroidery machine in the near future (after retirement).
I've been frustrated that patterns don't seem to fit my body anymore. so, I'm going to have DH help me make one of those duct tape dressforms, and that should help.
I'm looking forward to popping in and getting good ideas from all of you!

Welcome to our great group. You'll love it here.
I've noticed too that as we age more adjustments seem to be necessary so luckily a lot of us have more experience to deal with that.
Hope to see you around often.
