It's the best feeling. What a lovely skirt. I bet you can't wait to take her somewhere wearing it. Just lap up all the compliments. And it only gets better.

That skirt is adorable, Pookie! All the fabrics go together so well. You have every right to be proud.

Love the little tough girl attitude. She's a cutie.

Oh my, look at that cute skirt!! Even better, look at that adorable little girl!! No wonder you're making her such lovely clothes - her pretty little face is screaming for them!

Great, great job on both!

Great job on that skirt. If you had your pictures in reverse I would have thought it was a ready-to-wear skirt that you were wishing to copy. The colors are so pretty and soft; the petticoat is perfect! Your little darling is probaby too young to write out a "Mommy make me this too" list  . I haven't been sewing as much as I like so when I do finally complete something I like to hang it up where I can keep looking at it. I know that feeling and it's GREAT! :bg:

That is gorgeous! :D Did you use a pattern or did you just alter an existing one? :D It is great and your lil model is precious! :) Just wait til they are old enough to draw! :) Kammie draws out her lists. She can write mind you, but she likes to determine what it will look like! LOL

Love the skirt.
And I have a question too....
When you make the petticoat, what section do you attach it to? Did you attach it to the top of the waist, or where you have added the panels? I would love to make a winter one for my daughter, but I have so many skirt patterns for her that I refuse to buy any more. But I think I could adapt some of the patterns I have for a petticoat.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers, Soph.

1st off thank you for your kind replys.

okay I got the instructions from youcanmakethis.com

it is a pouty princess vertial stip work twirl skirt. I had to draw the pattern myself from her measurements... it was awsome, so it wasn't an altered skirt it was from scratch. :) (puffing chest up)

okay petty coat question, I attached it to the bottem of the waist panal. I gathered the panals and petty coat to the size of the waist panal.

I look so forward to doing many more, I have so many ideals. Girls I have spent over $100.00 on fabrics this weekend with my mind full of ideals... whhho

oh yea, ally wore it out today and go so many compliments....made me so happy and proud....

tks ladies...

Thanks for that Pookie. I think I will have a go at one like it next weekend.
I know what you mean about the "puffed chest". My DD wore the first ever Redondo skirt that I made today. I still think I was prouder of it than she was. I already have an order placed for a friend's daughter. You always think it is pretty good when you have made it yourself, but it is SOOOOO much better when others comment on it too.

Make sure you post pics ofthe other skirts you make.

Happy sewing.
Cheers, Soph.
