Has anyone taken a Wild Ginger workshop??? I have their Pattern Master software and wondered if their workshops are that helpful. Part of the software requires computer assisted drafting and I am new to pattern drafting on paper and on computer. The classes are online. Belinda |

I use PMB and visit their forum on a daily basis. I have never taken any of their online classes---they did not have them when I started using the product. I did take a class from an "expert user" in my area. It concentrated on using the Pattern Editor part of the program and was very useful. Before taking the class, I could never get it to do what I wanted even though I keep looking at the help files etc. Anyway, despite all of this I almost always do any alterations that I want the old fashioned way----by adjusting the paper pattern. I have used the software for 4 years and I still make a lot of muslins from the patterns before I make up the pattern in fashion fabric. Naturally this always shows up some tweaking opportunities and I always do these on the paper pattern so that I do not have to reprint and tape. Mary |

Mary, Thank You! That gives me food for thought. There are no expert users in my area that I am aware of. I found one pro sewer that uses it some but admits she may not be able to help me much. I am looking for any education I can get but sometimes the Price is profibitive. Grandma C |
