Hello, my name is Cheryl and I live in Melbourne Victoria, Australia.

I found this fantastic website by accident and it is starting to become addictive..........just like sewing.

I have been sewing on & off for the last 10 years, unfortunately more off due to family and work commitments.

I have 9 children ranging in age from 21 to 9 months, 3 beautiful boy and 6 gorgeous girls, and partner Ross, the love of my life.

I have recently decided to 'reward' myself a sewing project everytime I complete an assignment (I am studying law at the moment) :re:

I also enjoy cake decorating and cross stiching.

I am an events co ordinator by trade and after having baby number 9 decided to do a career change, hence the reason for going back to school. (got sick of working weekends and missing time with my family)

Welcome Cheryl,

Glad to see you here. Why do I think you'll be visiting "Sewing for Children" often and already have????

Hope to see you around.

Hi Cheryl and welcome. I'm also from Melbourne. I have to say just reading your post exhausted me. Well done - with so much on your plate I'm surprised the sewing machine ever gets a run. I'm sure I'll see you around here somewhere - I visit much too often.

Hi Cheryl, welcome to the group. I look forward to hearing about your sewing projects. What type of sewing do you like to do? You certainly have a full plate it seems. Good luck in going back to school.

Welcome Cheryl,

You are my idol. 9 kids! I was headed there but the doctors stopped me a 4.

I like the idea of rewarding yourself with sewing.

I enjoy cake decorating also. My skills are no ways near professional, but I love the look on my kids' faces when they see their cakes.

Hi Cheryl

Great to see another Aussie on here. I wonder why the Aussies on here I've met so far are all Victorians??

Have fun and learn lots.... I know I have! :bg:

I'd say something about the extraordinarily discerning taste of Victorians but since you're from WA originally (?) that probably wouldn't go down too well.
