Oh Thank you so much..... Just baked an apple pie and a coconut creme.....

My daughter should be pulling in the driveway any minute. We are going to meet her "boyfriend." She drove from Lincoln, Nebraska to Iowa City to pick him up and then they drove straight to Ithaca. They have been there the last couple days. His brother is graduating and they came for graduation and to visit their old haunts.

I need to put this into context that the only "date" we have ever met was the Jr. and Sr. Prom and it was the same HS friend. He asked her to the Jr. Prom five days in advance.

I have spent the last three weeks painting and cleaning. I am exhausted :) okay, okay, I'm nervous too.... I like to tease and have fun and I was told to behave...well, to use my adult filters....all I keep around the house are coffee filters, so I'm not sure how I'm going to pull it off ....

I'll have to let all of you know how it goes.

Thanks again all of you; I have more fun on this site and I enjoy all of you. Wish me luck!

:bday: Sorry I'm late.

If you've been told to behave yourself - just imagine what she has told him. Hope it goes well.

Happy Birthday, Patty!!

I think you really should behave and use the filters. Like maybe put a coffee filter on your head. Or use them as earrings. Maybe make some slippers. I am sure your creative juices could be put to good use here
Will be anxious to hear how it all goes.

Here is a picture of our house guests. Bwhahahahahahaha well, part of our house guests.

This has been a wonderful birthday! Thank you everyone for the singing and Susie ....that was a delicious birthday cake. I did lick the plate and was proud of it!

We did have a bottle of wine before dinner and luckily I didn't have to crawl under the coffee table to sleep it off.

I gave up on the filters...little can be done with me at this stage of the game. Although the suggestions for coffee filter uses almost compares with the painted ones I saw that were made into flowers.

My daughter's "boyfriend"....."friend" is very sweet. What can I say except I understand why my daughter enjoys him so much.

More on the saga when something happens........ I think I need my binoculars ......

So glad that you had a good birthday, Patty..Where have I been all this time...this is the first time that I have heard the expression "adult filters." We always tell the little ones to "use your words" when they get mad; now I can tell a few of their parents to "use their adult filters!!!" but, truly, your daughter would not have brought her friend home if she didn't think that he could appreciate you as you are...
Hope you have many more birthdays...

AWWWW QM I missed your Bday! I am soooo sorry! It has been "crazier" at my house. I will have to fill you in later. A few bites on the storkville thing. Anyhow! Hope you had a terrific Birthday and that you celebrate all year long because it isn't about living for just ONE day! :)
