Is there a program that can be used to convert simple graphic files into .emf files(or vector files) that can be used in Embird to create autodigitized files?? I'm not exactly sure of the technology of this, but I do understand that .jpeg and .bmp are created with pixels, while vector files are created with lines, and that Embird requires vector files to be able to autodigitize simple designs. I tried downloading some program which didn't work, Embird didn't recognize the file at all, so all you Embirders out there, got any ideas???

I use Power Point. I create all my designs in Power Point with jpgs, bmps and the fonts available on my computer. Then I save the slide as a wmf. (my embroidery software doesn't like emf.)

Gina, you are brilliant! I've had the silly program for forever and the only time it gets used is if the son is doing up a paper/project for university. He says its easy to use, so I will try it. Thanks! I wasn't wanting to have to buy another program to do this.

Thanks! But I can't take all the credit. I was like you and not wanting to buy yet another piece of software. I said to hubby "Is there something on one of these many (3) computers that will save as emf." He did his thing on the computer (I call it magic) and voila he says "Why not try Power Point?"
Then I had my 14 yr. old daughter teach me how to use it.
