Don't worry Jan, it's about Basketball!!!! LeBron James is the name of a 22 yr old area basketball player that is now playing for the Pros. The is considered a Diamond in the Rough since his Jr High and High School days, and has been given the name of "King James". You know the single mother - only kid from the "projects" of the inner city, she worked odd jobs to put him thru Parochial School and he exceled in sports. Now at age 22 he's a Millionare, turning Pro right out of High School. With him playing with his favorite childhood team they have now put them in the running for the National Championship Title in Basketball. They say that once you have seen this kid play that you have "witnessed" a true one of a kind thing and if you are a true believer in his talent than you should "rise up and follow"!!!! What I have seen good come from all this talent is how he is giving back to his hometown. They hold summer camps for both boys and girls who love the sport, paid for by his Foundation. He has also joined with the City of Akron to rebuild Parks and upgrade the playground and the ball courts. The Players will come and work with the kids in the Akron/Cleveland area schools. He is also building a $14 MILLION home in the Akron area and has set his Mom up in a home of her own. Mom has not been know to be the greatest roll-model for him and has made some pretty stupid choices, but he hasn't let it affect him and is "SO FAR" proving to be a good roll-model to young kids. He is living with his High School girlfriend and she is pregnant with baby #2, due at any time now. Now all they have to do is win the game tonight and they will be the Eastern Division Champs, leaving only one more round (7 games) to play and hopefully win to be the National Champs. This state LOVES it's Sports Teams!!!! |

LeBron James ....Who's he?  Should I mention I am a Carmello Anthony fan?  Carmello is/was charismatic with the crowds when he played for SU leading them to their NCAA championship... LeBron went first in the drafts and Carmello was second. When my daughter moved to Denver, we went and saw him play his first preseason game with the Nuggets at the Pepsi Center. I read about some of the programs LeBron has been doing for the Akron area and his exemplary spirit of generosity to the community is wonderful. Patty

How about that one that is 6' tall holding up the sign that says IF YOU WANT TO WIN, PUT "BOOBIE" IN!!! OR THE "KING" IS "IN THE HOUSE,SO BOW DOWN" OR RISE UP!!!!!! Do I think that we will win? Don't know, I'm just as surprised as everyone else that they made it to the Finals. It's been a amazing ride and I would hate to see them not win it all after all they have done to get there. It's a Cinderella Story come true!!!!! |

All we Texans cans say to the Cavalier fans is "Bring it on" It's hot in Texas and about to get hotter! Unless you are a Dallas Mavericks fan like me  But, having the Spurs in the finals is the next best thing. Perfect finals would be two of the three Texas teams going at it on the court. Shelly Moon

I sure hope so!!!!!! They are not doing to good right now, BUT they lost the first 2 game against Detroit and came back to win the Eastern Title. LeBron is being pulled in 2 direction this week, his girlfriend is due to deliver their 2nd baby anytime now and she is telling him that he has to be at the Hospital with her during delivery. Will be kind of hard if he has to play a game while she's in the delivery room!!!! |

Well LeBron became a Daddy again today. Savannah gave birth to an 8 lb boy just after midnight. Bryce measured in at 21" long and is already shooting hoops from his Hospital Nursery Crib!!!! They keep going like this and the James family will have their own Basketball team!!! Bryce has a big brother LeBron Jr at home. Now if we can just get their Dad's team to win tonight.!!!! |

Congrats to the Spurs for winning the Finals. We in Ohio sure can't complain, the Cavs gave us a GREAT SEASON and we are looking for an even better one next season. |
