I am really into recycling my daughters clothes and using them as applique, embellishments, or small sewing projects for them. I use clothes that they dont fit into/wear anymore and slice off buttons, embellishments, bows, ribbon, and anything else. Well, this purse here that I made for my dd#1 is made of a recycled romper (that was dd#2's) for the body of the bag and then K.'s receiving blanket that was hardly ever used but I still held onto it for some reason, was used for the lining, handle, closure tab, and applique. It was just a "Sew it as it comes to mind" project for me. Enjoy! purse http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1150/525694008_932762d3e9.jpg?v=0 detail of applique and button (which the felt flower was from one of L.'s old summer dress and the pink button was from a jacket that didn't fit K. anymore) http://farm1.static.flickr.com/231/525694012_9ae0d0f6d6.jpg?v=0 K. with the purse http://farm1.static.flickr.com/240/525694016_9da931ac38.jpg?v=0 Angie

Really, really cute things you've made as well as the purse for your daughter! I was a SAHM and they were the very best years. I never regret one minute of the precious time I was able to spend with my kids. Bravo to you!!! Patty
