Hello! I am trying to place a pocket on a men's shirt that exactly matches the print on the shirt so that the pocket will not be noticeable at all. How do I cut the fabric so it is exactly the same as what will be hidden by the pocket?? I hope that I made myself understandable... Thanks so much, Kathy a few spare hours, a stash of fabric, and a well oiled machine...

You could use a light-box or a window to help you. First, cut out the shirt front pieces. It might help to stay-stitch the neckline so it doesn't stretch out of shape while you're doing the next step. Tape it up to a window in the daytime so light comes through. Now trace the design of the print onto paper, or better yet some wax paper, which is more translucent, marking carefully on the tracing where you'll be placing the pocket. Lay that paper over your fabric and use it as a guide for where to cut out the pocket. You can line up your tracings with the print right on the cutting table.

Why on earth didn't think of that !?! Thank you so much! We're in a drought...so plenty of sunshine streaming in windows is not a problem. I'll do just that in the morning!
