Interested - not really.
Obsessed - quite possibly! :bg:

Thanks Mary. I am having fun shopping overseas for material. It's just the credit cards that dont like it.
Cheers, Soph.

I have 17 yards of fabric waiting to be put in the closet and you're showing me a sale.
Have you no shame, you temptress!

That's just the stuff I got this week! It needs to be labeled, wrapped on a bolt and tucked away in the stash.
Even with stacks in the bottom and on the top of two closets and a six foot tall shelf full of bolts of fabric, I know some of you have a lot more than I do -- because I have self control!!

Alas I've been cut off. I have to get some of this stash out of the sewing room (and the overflow into the bedroom) before I can buy any more. But darn it - when you have to go to the store for a spool of thread, the fabric seductively calls you in to just touch this one, oh, look at the color of that one, and then WHAM, another $50 down the hatch! Is there a Sewing Addicts Anonoymous - or am I already here. Hello, my name is Laura and I'm an addict.

I'm not sure that it's Sewing Anonymous - I think it's Fabric lovers Anonymous - we only sew in order to justify more fabric purchases. Somehow or another for me it's always two steps forward (items made) and three steps back (fabrics acquired). Maybe it's time for another stash challenge.

I added some yardage to my stash over the weekend at the big sale Sunday at JoAnn. Haven't bought much fabric over the last three years, but I think I've made up for all of it in the last three months! My sewing room closet is stuffed--but at least it's all organized!

Our LQS is having their yearly sale in July. There will be a tent set up outside with bolts of cotton for $2.50 a yard and then everything in the store on sale. I guess I have been saving up for this :bluesmile

Not that I would be tempted.

Dorothy.....you know she moved down Cherry Valley Turnpike about 5 miles east of town on 20.

The sale is July 7th; the tent opens at 7am and the store at 8 am.

or am I already here. Hello, my name is Laura and I'm an addict.

I think I say that under my breath everytime I walk into a fabric store Laura. Next year I have decided I should go and work in my local fabric shop. I wont have to worry about the tax man - they can just pay my wages in shopping vouchers! :bluesmile

Maybe it's time for another stash challenge.
I have been saying that since i moved house Pauline. I have no room to sew here, let alone room for material. Hubby thought i was ill the other day when I passed up material shopping with him. Took a bit to convince him that I just dont have room to put it all. But I can now go and buy another 5 or 6 metres, as I had to make my son a roman gladiator costume for Feast Day at school.
Cheers, Soph.

Soph, as the good natured person that I am I'll help you out - I'm sure I can manage to take some off your hands. I wouldn't want you to run short of storage space. :bg:

Thanks Pauline. But I think I can JUST survive until my new sewing room (aka house) is built. The builder is telling me 4 months from council approval, so hopefully that will make it 4 1/2 months now.

But I have just come back from Spotlight..... 20% off storewide. The girls had a laugh at me because it was 2pm before I got there. They thought they would see me at 9am. But the store is open until 9pm, so there is plenty of time yet for a second run!
Cheers, Soph.

Your builder and council must be better than any I'm aware of - that would make them only 2 weeks late by the end. Fingers crossed for you.

BTW - what restraint you showed waiting until 2pm.
