I shouldn't be complaining about this, but it makes me feel better to vent a little bit. I'm really not this whiney most of the time. I can feel the PMS developing today. School has been out for two weeks now and I've yet to have a day to myself. Every time I think I'll have a day to sew all day, something comes up. I spent most of today catching up on housework and laundry and started straightening up the sewing room. And my phone has rang at least 12 times today! I planned to take dd to my sister's house tomorrow (thank God for big sis) to stay with her a couple of days and was looking so forward to having Thursday all to myself with a clean house. Sis lives an hour away and I have errands to run on the way so it'll be an all day thing. I thought I'd go see my dad too since my parents are going on a trip this weekend and I won't see him on Father's Day. I have two skirts cut out that I want to sew and I want to get started on my hot swap blocks. My MIL just called and asked me to take her to her doctor's appointment Thursday morning. I asked her last week if she needed for me to take her and she said that hubby's brother (not married, no kids) was taking her. Well, he changed his mind. I don't mind taking her, but I thought Thursday was going to be my day. I know she'll want to go out and eat afterward, and go shopping. And oh yea, my sis is bringing dd home Thursday and I invited my nephew to stay a couple of days with us then. I'm feeling guilty now for being upset about it. I just had to vent again. I think I need a Pina Colada now. |

I think Bama needs a vacation --maybe a sewing retreat or cruse. Dorothy |

PMS and pina coladas should help. It's only temporary, Bams. Cheer up girl. You'll get the time, don't worry. Things are always the worst before the "flood" (so to speak......... ) Storm/flood, same difference. Lennie |

Every time I think I'll have a day to sew all day, something comes up. Sounds like my life. You might tell your MIL that as you weren't expecting to take her you'd made other arrangements for the rest of the day. You don't need to be specific. Just take her to the doctors and drop her off at her house then zip home and sew!! Pauline

Well, I'm in a slightly better mood today. I finally got a little time this evening to sew a new tiered skirt. Just have to put the elastic in. I think I'll wear it tomorrow. I guess I'll do whatever MIL wants after her appointment. She doesn't get out often. And yes Dorothy, a vacation would be wonderful. |

Hey Bama, ever heard of a little thing called call display? Have a look who's calling before you pick up the phone. Its the only way to get any time to yourself, or to get things done that you need to do. I learned that one the hard way. LOL! Don't feel guilty about saying no. Just don't say it all the time. Unless you really need to, LOL. Emmy |
