well i have just joined this group and i'm so excited to get you know you all! a little about myself... i taught myself to sew purses when i was in high school and had a strange obsession with it... and still do :) i sew most of my daughters clothes, the only store bought clothes or from gifts. i love to sit at my sewing machine and just go to town! some time next year i hope to attend a school for design and get a degree in fashion design. my goal is to have my own children's clothing line!

a dress i made for my daughters first birthday!

Welcome!

What gorgeous fabric. Love it! Love the style as well. Isn't it exciting to have a passion?

Hi and welcome to the group. Love your DD's birthday dress. You can find children's patterns and learn new techniques in the Sew Beautiful magazines from Martha Pullen. I also like the heirloom techniques for adults. Good luck in pursuing your degree in fashion design.
