OKay, ages ago I posted about a twirl skirt I made using Joann's fat eighth rolls, and how it was so easy. Well, I finally got pictures. I think this particular one was made using two of them. I probably could have cut the eights in half again for width, but kept the length. But, it was so incredibly easy. I just sewed them all together, I kept out two for the waistband, and sewed a casing, but didn't put the elastic in, then I just sewed the rest of them together end to end, and ran it through the gathering foot. Then I started adding tiers. On the bottom I put some ribbon trim, that I added to a matching shirt. This was a Christmas present, that I finally got a picture of just this month (she lives in Dallas, so I had to go visit to get the picture). http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa46/pucktricks/may%202007/Emmashowskirt.jpg And, she loves her new skirt, so that's all good.
