OKay, ages ago I posted about a twirl skirt I made using Joann's fat eighth rolls, and how it was so easy. Well, I finally got pictures. I think this particular one was made using two of them. I probably could have cut the eights in half again for width, but kept the length. But, it was so incredibly easy. I just sewed them all together, I kept out two for the waistband, and sewed a casing, but didn't put the elastic in, then I just sewed the rest of them together end to end, and ran it through the gathering foot. Then I started adding tiers. On the bottom I put some ribbon trim, that I added to a matching shirt. This was a Christmas present, that I finally got a picture of just this month (she lives in Dallas, so I had to go visit to get the picture).

And, she loves her new skirt, so that's all good.

Your 6 months paid off! Everything looks so great, you have done beautiful work, and that smocked baby dress is really precious. You make me want to get busy and catch up on all my projects!

Yes, the report I was given is that she wears it a lot. So, that's always exciting to hear.
