I thought I'd mention -- invisible zippers are a pain. I'm making the Sandra Betzina bag that has 3 of them.
They do look good though.

I'll just mention that I agree and avoid them whenever possible.

Oh, really, I think they are the best thing since sliced bread. Ya need to come to OK Dorothy and we'll take care of that!

I agree with Pam. Invisible zippers are much easier than regular zippers, cause I can never get the stitching straight on the outside of regular zippers. As a matter of fact, you can order an invisible zipper foot made especially for my new Pfaff 2056. There are a couple of new feet for the 2056 that I'm going to order, I just haven't told my dh yet.

I have an invisible foot for each of my machines but they are so easy with the old fashioned foot I haven't even tried the invisible feet.

If you have a pintuck foot you can also use that to sew in invisible zippers. By the way, what is an old fashioned foot?

Well, I have two out of three in and they do look good -- really good.
I still have one to go so I'll have to take the shank thing that holds the foot off to put that plastic thing on again and I'll probably drop the screw again and ............ maybe I'll try with just a regular zipper foot.
Patsy -- will that foot fit my older Pfaff?

Dorothy, I use my buttonhole foot (the simple one ) to do invisible zips and it works well. They still make me nervous though....:nc:

Now I am totally jealous, I really want to make something with an invisible zipper, but I just haven't gotten up the courage. My almost daughter in law uses them all the time, and I suppose I need to get her out here to show me how to do them, and she doesn't use any special feet. Hm, I could trade, she doesn't know how to put sleeves in.....

Yep, sounds like it is time for a trade!

I went to put the third zipper in and realised I might just want to cut another piece and have those 2 inch X 2 inch checks match. I can't believe I cut it like that. It's no big deal, I have yards of fabric and will take 3 minutes but -- what a dummy.
I have to work for a few days first.
