Howdy Ya'll; I am new to this board and am anxious to get some good ideas and advice. I am from South Central Texas, I have 2 daughters, 1 son, 1 daughter in law, 2 son in laws, 4 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, and 1 granddaughter coming into this world on Monday... I am a quilter and am contemplating purchasing the Brother 1500D sewing/embridery machine. I am going in the morning to give it another test drive.. I had previously considered the Janome 9700. Anyone have any good experiences on either of these machines? I look forward to chatting with ya'll!!! |

Hi Debbie Lynn, I can't help you with this but am very interested in the replies because I've been eyeing off the 9700 for a while now. Here in Australia I haven't seen the 1500D but only the 1200 and then straight up to the 4000. BTW if it makes any difference to you I believe (you might want to check for sure) the D on the end refers to the Disney designs that come inbuilt on the machine. If you don't care about those designs you might be able to save some money. Welcome to the gang. Pauline
