Ok, here are what I've done so far. I've mastered the pillowcase dress and almost the patchwork twirly skirt (have made three, but they are far from perfect). I still have to perfect my stitchery and whatnot. But my girls love them and that's all that matters!

BTW, most of what I'm making is for our trip to Disney World in December. Just in case you pick up on a theme. :bluewink:

Here are two pillowcase dresses that my older girls will wear as tops with matching capris.

More to come, cause I just love sewing now. It's hard to believe that I just started a couple of weeks ago!

They look great. Well done.

You've also mastered posting pictures within your post. I haven't managed to get past putting in a link.

Everything looks great and the girls are adorable. I picked up a bunch of Disney fabrics a couple of months ago to make a wardrobe for my granddaughter's first trip to Disney World in November.

You should try some custom Mickey/Minnie overalls next as it's sometimes cooler in Florida in December. Check ebay for ideas but they are very popular and not hard to make.

Well, of course... I completely forgot to post pics of those! This is my first pair, and I'm working on three more with more sewing detail on them (appliques, covered bibs etc.). I still need to stitch down the ribbon on the straps, I was waiting to see if I definitely liked them there and I think I've decided Yes I do!

I used a green polka dotted dress that my girls didn't like for the green in this skirt & halter. Also, this dress had appliques!!!! All I had to do was include them in my patches and voila!! They are off-center a little, but that's ok and it couldn't have been helped since the pics were close together. I also used three pink buttons off the dress to jazz up the halter! My dd loves it, can you tell?

Well, one of my creations fell apart today! It was the sheer ribbon that I used for dd8's purple/teal halter's straps. I was afraid that was going to happen when I noticed a small tear this morning. But that's ok, throughout the day, I decided that I really didn't like that much skin showing on my girls anyway  So, I've decided to make other tops to go with the skirts. Looks like I'll have to do some more sewing!

I also bought more material this weekend for more projects. I don't know what I'm going to make yet, but I have some ideas and will definitely post pics when I get done. Right now, I'm trying to finish up all my little stitching here & there so I can put some stuff in the "completely finished" pile!

I am getting so addicted to sewing for my girls, I just can't seem to get anything else done! Here is an outfit that I put together for dd2. Believe it or not, it's made from a pair of curtains that my mother was going to throw away!!! We already had the pants, I just cut them off a little. This outfit cost me about $2 for binding & rick rack that I already had. It was great practice and it looks so adorable on her!!! It looks like they are uneven in the picture, but they aren't.
http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t96/tnmom25/DSC00009.jpg

And here's an outfit that I made for dd6. She had these pants and loved them, but the knees were shot! So, I cut them above the knee and added ruffles. I've been wanting practice with ruffles on pants, so this was perfect. All the material I had was scrap from my Granny's quilts. I bought the rick rack and dh decided that I need to put some on the pants pink ruffle. I bought some more today, but it's not the right shade so I'll have to try again tomorrow! I also made the pillowcase top differently this time. I usually use elastic and binding for the ties... this time I made binding for the armholes and used ribbon in the casing for the ties. I like both ways, I guess it just depends on my elastic/ribbon supply as to which I'll use in the future!

Does it need something on the top? Looking at the pic, it looks kinda plain! I also thought about putting a couple of patches on the pants to match the pink and print? What do you think?

Last one for today!!! This is a Dora pillowcase dress for dd2 or dd6 to wear as a top. They both like Dora!

Whew!!!! That was a lot of sewing in three days!! Now, I just have to clean my house! Well, maybe... I did just pick up some Elvis fabric at Walmart to make skirts for the girls.... clean or sew?! Tough one!
