Well, I have just about survived another Bridal Season, but the remainder will be difficult. Rob has been having problems lately, thought it was hemorrhoids, went to the doctor. They thought it was polyps, and scheduled a colonoscopy last Friday. The biopsy came back cancer. He is only 45! They don't start screening for colon cancer until you're 50. They will install a port for chemo this week and he will have radiaiton too. On top of all this, we are moving next Saturday.
Please keep us in your prayers. I cannot believe that God let him find me at this point in my life, only to take him away after such a short time.

People make mistakes, but I don't think a supreme power does. Don't think for a minute that your presence in Bob's life isn't greater than yours to his.

I'll be thinking of all of you and hoping for better and brighter days.

Thank you for all the support. It reminds me of how much we really do have. We are moving to a much better apartment, have plenty of help from friends and neighbors (even though the neighbors don't want us to move:bluesad: ), and an excellent cancer center here at WVU.

prayers for both you and your hubby. Maybe the move will be the best thing to keep both of your minds off the cancer for a few days. Just remember through it all to always look for the positives.

1Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. Salvation includes healing...I pray that your husband will receive total healing in his body and that you have many years together....I pray peace for your spirit and strength for your body as you help him through his treatments.
In His abiding love,

Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. Rob is now half way through his six week treatment (which is why I have not been around lately) and the tumor appears to be shrinking as the doctors expected. We seem to be adapting to our new schedule rather well, and all my clients are extremely understanding and have put him on many prayer lists. I believe the prayers are as powerful as the medicine.
The move is complete, though I still have many boxes to unpack. At least with this bigger apartment, I now have a place to unpack it all!
The furbabies are adapting well, though we started the move with two dogs, one cat and now have two dogs, three cats (and one adoptee is pregnant:shock: ). Will check back in as time permits.
Thank you again,
VenusElaine

Just wanted you to know, Venus Elaine, that prayers are still being sent your way. Hope that Rob will respond well to the treatment and your larger place will give you more sewing space.

Venus Elaine, I prayed as I read these posts. I hope Rob is handling the Chemo and radiation OK. I read that Laughter is great medicine. Along with your and our prayers try to find something to laugh about each day.

I am praying that God will wrap you and Rob in serinity and love.
