I made their tops based off of an Ottobre pattern, but I only traced the "bikini" piece and did the rest by the seat of my pants. I just didn't feel like getting out the pattern and tracing the rectangles or even measuring them. I'm so happy that I can do that now. http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j156/AshleaAppel/Summer2007484.jpg And I made myself a top too (again, by the seat of my pants, it turned out pretty well, this picture doesn't show the whole thing very well): http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j156/AshleaAppel/Summer2007481.jpg Ashlea

What pretty, fresh, bright summer clothing. Those faces are kinda cute too. The boy doesn't really look that impressed. LOL.

The boy wanted to be running around, not getting his picture taken.

Absolutely gorgeous. The mix of fabrics is just right - I especially like the way you've used different sized polka dots for the girls tops. And a good way to get you all matching but without being carbon copies. You definitely have got the hang of by the seat of your pants. Pauline

Those are some cute dresses and models. I think you have nailed it once again. Congratulations on a job well done. Most boys don't like to sit for photos especially with sisters (LOL). Great job all the way around. Marty |

Thanks everyone. I do sew for Thomas, but I didn't this time around. He loves dark/bright purple and that is nearly impossible to find in boy's clothes. I made him a pair of purple short pants from Ottobre that he wears a lot. I'm not very confident with knits, so I haven't done much in the way of shirts for him though. I made my top out of two strips of fabric, the bandana print is a wider strip. I created a casing at the top and bottom of the butterfly print. It just ties together in back (red ribbon ties) and I was planning to wear it over a red or blue tank, but ended up wearing a strapless bra instead. Ashlea
