I thought that it would be fun to see what quilt magazines that we enjoy.

I subscribe to Fons & Porter. I frequently buy Quick Quilts, Quiltmaker and American Patchwork & Quilting. I have collected more "I wanna dos" than have time!:re:

I subscribe to Fons & Porter and Quilter's World. At the book store I scan about 17 different ones after my hair appt. It seems like Quick Quilts, Quiltmaker and a few other follow me home (and a Lindt truffle) depending on what my next gotta-do project is.

I've been a subscriber to Quilters' World for about 4 years now and I occasionally pick up Fons & Porter, Quilt Maker, Quilter's World, etc., if one of them happen to have a project I think I might like to make in the next 10 or 20 years. Ha! Ha! Like Piney, I have a huge collection of wanna dos that will probably outlast me.

I subscribe to Quiltmaker as I like that they give quilting motifs and show how the quilts are quilted. But I've been buying all the Fons & Porters for the past 3 years (should get a subscription), I pick up the odd The Quilter, American Patchwork & Quilting, and Quilter's Newsletter. Unfortunately, the lack of shelf space is helping to limit my purchases... What is depressing is that to date I have only used one pattern from all the mags purchased...and I didn't make the quilt exactly as in the pattern !

I have a few Quilter's Newsletter Magazines from the 70's and then almost all of them from 1980's to 2000 and then I didn't renew my subscription.

Before the internet, having QNM arrive every month was a day of excitement to page through over and over again. The QNM today doesn't really have the same format as the old magazines. This may be due to how the internet has changed the kind of information consumers want in hard material.

I love antique quilts so I find myself drawn to any magazine featuring the designs and history. The old QNM had some great series articles by Brackman and other historians. Over the years, I have invested in historical quilting books rather than books featuring patterns for specific quilts.

I haven't had any subscriptions in years, but I was thinking about the Fons and Porter magazine and the McCalls.

I always get Quilters Newsletter, after that Fons and Porter and sometimes American Patchwork. At different times I have had the other magazines when they have sent a very good introductory offer and then let them expire. I do enjoy reading all of them.

I subscribe to Quilter's World and The Quilter Magazine. They along with whatever book House of White Birches sends me to preview keep me pretty busy. I get some ideas from the quilting section of Country Woman also.

I have a lot of my Mom's old quilting mags that are at least 50 years ago. I have bought some through the years but I like the older ones the best. I don't have the time to do many & those are just for family. Sometimes I just make one into a toss pillow or a small doll quilt for the GD's dolls. I've made pot holders from blocks also & some wall hangings. I have so many things I love to do I'd have to live forever to do it all.

I don't subsribe to any so I usually just pick one up if I see something I like. My daughter just got me the August issue of McCalls but I haven't found much in it that I like. Maggie
