Any one have one of these? With it having such strong magnets, isn't that a worry for these computerized embroidery machines that we have???

It shouldn't hurt the machines, although that was my first concern. All the reviews I've read from techs and users say it is fine, that there is a magnetic field in the machines already. I know that I've used magnets around my Bernina for years and it hasn't been a problem.

I've heard mixed reviews on this. There are very few people on the fence. Aparently the bad things: restricts the area that can be embroidered, somtimes gets in the way, because it takes up so much space, there is often a waste of stabilizer, don't always work on really thick things like towels. Good: Aparently if you are hooping the right things, it is wonderful, fast and easy.

Just be aware that they can't be used on a Pfaff. Pfaff uses small magnets to identify its hoops. It is probably OK on any machine that doesn't use magnets to identify hoops - Brother ans Babylock are 2 that come to mind.

Bernina uses a mechanical method to determine the hoop. The hoops that are offered are specific to the machine they fit so chances are that if there is a problem they won't be offered for your machine. HOWEVER, it is not a bad idea to give your dealer a call on that issue before you buy.

I'm not even sure that I'm that interested in it, I just saw it while surfing around and wondered if anyone had it and absolutely loved it, cause then I 'd have to think about getting it....maybe.

In the meantime, I think the price went up about 25% on August 1st. I don't know why, they can't keep up with the orders as it is.
