I'm not surprised. There's lots of moms out there looking for unusual products for their little ones, and a lot of them are willing to pay a lot for a unique product that's well made. Of course, usually when I see things like that, I think "I can make that," and then I don't and I end up not having the thing. Ahhh..... the problem of being able to sew and not having enough time. When I read this post, I thought I had seen those bibs before. This morning while attempting to clean the basement, I stumbled upon a box I inherited from one of my mom's friends. Inside were three of the bibs the ladies in the post are now selling. I knew they looked familiar in the article! |

Great idea. I love hearing stories of moms who come up with ideas like that for a business. It's moms who know what works best for kids! I'm amazed at all the cloth diaper sewing moms I've seen on the net lately too. |

I had a friend who used cloth diapers for her first because he was allergic to disposable, and then she went ahead and used them for her second because she was used to it. Of course, her husband was a big help and did the laundry portion of it, so she didn't have to deal with it. Ticia |

Well, I bought a bib a couple of years ago...& have no idea who made it. But I used it to make my own pattern. Now when there is a new baby in the family I can make my own to give as a gift. They are super easy to make too. Bib I Made For A Friend's Baby (http://www.flickr.com/photos/heyjudee/978858049/) TTFN from

We just had our fourth grandchild two weeks ago today and I think I'm going to make him some of these. I like the ones with the strap to hold the leg pieces in place. Hopefully I will be able to come up with a pattern on my own. My daughter wanted a poncho like thing to wear when she breasts feeds in public instead of having a blanket over the baby in case it slips down. I bought a simple poncho pattern and made it a bit bigger in the neck. She says it works like charm. She slips it on and the baby is underneath but she can lift the neck piece and peek at him. Sure glad I know how to sew! Violet I've decided to live forever - so far, so good.
