This magazine was just becoming popular. However it will cease publication in December of this year. :nervous:

What a bummer.

This really is a bummer. I thought that the magazine was fresh and hip, and I love the sister publication THREADS.

It was much more basic from what I gathered. I kind of got the feeling the sales just weren't there.

They did say however that the e-letter would continue. That's something at least.

Maybe Taunton found they were splitting their readership and cutting into what they could ask for ads in each magazine (Threads and Sew Stylish). Or they just weren't selling enough Sew Stylish.
It seemed much more basic than Threads.

Maybe they weren't. The last time I was at the fabric store, they had a stack of the new issue right next to a stack of the previous one. And yes, it is more basic than Threads. That might be one of the reasons I liked it so much as I am not an experienced sewist. For me it kinda had the same feel as Threads.

I just signed up for the e-copy of be sew stylish, and thanks so much for the idea!

I have vowed to get up in the sewing room and work there 2 or 3 times a week. My wardrobe is pretty sad and meanwhile I have a large stash of fabrics from my own shopping forays and those of other people, so the conclusion is obvious.

I really need the inspiration and that little push that ideas will give!

Love this forum!
