You did an amazing job with the wedding dress. I'm sure the bride is so pleased to have such a unique dress to wear on her special day. Congratulations!!!
Marty

PS: Looks like a normal sewing studio to me.

I don't know if I've ever been so relieved to have a dress done! lol

Thanks to you ladies, it turned out amazing. I've spent the last three days ripping it apart and putting it back together as a two-piece (see "Strapless Mess" for more details!).

She LOVED it, it fit perfectly, no more issues, and if I do say so myself, it looked amazing. :)

Here we go - hopefully, these show up - I've never used the "insert image" here before!

(Jeez...how embarrassing...you can TOTALLY see about 1/4 of my stash behind there...) :bg:

Thanks for your help with my muddled brain. It's out of the house, she's delighted, and I've been paid. It is over...well, except for finishing one more bridesmaid dress. :)

I LOVE the back of that dress. You did a fine job, and who cares about the stash.

That is soooooo pretty!

I, too, love the back. Do I see buttons? That's what I'm hoping to be able to figure out how to do.

And I love the neckline and sleeves.....glad to see someone else decided not to cave into that strapless craze going on today.

Looks like it took alot of work. You did an awesome job!!

Well done, that is such a good fit. It works fine as a 2 piece and the front looks great. One gorgeous bride coming up!

Wow! The dress is stunning! I just love the scalloped lace edge on the back of the bodice -- well, really, I love everything about it, but that's my favorite detail. Well done!

You can't even tell that she has un-even legs! WOW!! Remarkable!

Now for that stash of stuff... maybe a two-piece file cabinet to celebrate the occasion! :bluesmile

Beautiful dress! I think the lace gives it an air of innocence. It looks great as a two-piece, I actually had to look again for a few moments because it looks like a one-piece. Great job!

Thank you thank you!

It was a challenge, and she had it completely in her head, so no pattern, which is always fun.

The sleeves are not strong - it's just a lace insert, in no way could it hold up the dress. The color we chose blends beautifully with her skin tone, and the tulle doesn't even show that much until she moves. She handpicked all lace, and yes, those are buttons down the back, but they're just sewn on - it's an invisible zip holding it all shut. I found vintage Czech bead glass buttons at a sale and snapped them up...75 cents at half off, and there were 23 buttons in there - matched beautifully and she loved them. Lucky find!

Thanks again - it was a blast, but cutting it in two was the number one way to make it look amazing. I'm very pleased, she's ecstatic, and yes, I was well paid for the dress. :)

The stash...I'll be happy to getting back to work on it. It soooo needs to be weeded through...after the bridesmaids dresses...after...after...after...
