My sewing room is painted. We just put a coat of the same color (lavender) on to clean it up a bit but you can't see the walls because we moved the sewing room & our bed in there for now & this room has no closet so I lost a lot of storage space. Our bed is king size so that takes up a lot of room that I will fill with shelves. DSs are painting there rooms but both have to work today so I might go into Nathan's & help with the priming so he can paint when he gets home. He is painting his red with navy ceiling & trim. The ceiling & trim are done navy & one wall is red but 3 walls are paneling so we need to prime before those get painted. Adam is going with dk green with white trim, ceiling & a white stripe around the room. (can you tell we live in MSU country). He got the white done last night & will do the green when he gets home tonight. When they get their stuff out of their old rooms we need to take down a wall that was put up temporarily about14 years ago when DD's started high school & needed more privacy. Then I will see what needs painting in there & move my bed in & get all of my clothes out of the dining room. Sandy (15YO DD)is not moving but wants to paint so I made a deal with her that if her room is clean before the paint sale is done (Sat) she can buy paint & we will do hers next week. The boys have picked really dark colors so I made a deal with them that when we want to paint over them they have to buy the primer. I will post pictures when I get them. Barb

Sounds like a big project, Barb. Nice that everyone's pitching in and I bet dd will have that room cleaned up soon. I'm going to Lowe's today with dh to check out paint colors and take care of some other things like a broken toilet. Due to our new siding and windows it's time to paint. I'll be doing it myself mostly (I hope) since it's something I can do after all of the construction stuff that I haven't had a clue about. Poor dh is working so very hard all the time. I said I know how to paint and I have to say I do a good job but I HATE it! The mess, the preparation, did I say the MESS? Oh well, it'll look so nice. Everything's a boring off white and I want a little color. Not dark, not bright, but just some muted earthy tones. Good Luck, Lennie |
