Sew What’s Up Presents

The Sew What’s New Archive

This archived content is from Mary Wilkins’ sewing and quilting message board “Sew What’s New,” which was retired in August 2007. It is being provided by “Sew What’s Up,” which serves as the new home for many members of “Sew What’s New.”

Hi everyone! I am still in the planning phases, but I am going to be setting up a new forum where we can all meet. It will likely either be sew-whats-up.com or sew-whats-happening.com or something similar. I just wanted to let everyone know that there *will* be a place for us all to meet that will hopefully have all the functionality of these boards. It will be a little while before DH and I put everything together, but I hope to get things up and running before this site closes down. I hope that as many of you as possible will join, so we can keep the same community that we all enjoyed so much here on SWN!

That is great! I set one up and just posted about it, didn't realize anyone else was going to do one, sorry. I'm sure yours will be much better though! The one I set up is a free one so there are not as many options as yours I'm sure. Looking forward to seeing it!:bg:

Hey Wendy! Sorry I didn't see your post until after I had already posted this! I would have posted earlier but I needed to check with DH since it will be a bit of extra work for him with showing me the ropes and helping me out (hopefully I won't need help too often!). Eventually I'd like to create some content for the website too, like SWN has -- tutorials, ideas, etc. Anyway, I still encourage everyone to join Wendy's board and/or the yahoo group in case I don't get the new board going before this site closes down.

Both of you are wonderful and so good to do this. I'm so happy to see everyone stepping up with ideas. If I had the knowledge I'd be doing something too. I think we all feel the same about the prospect of never interacting again.

I'll absoultely be around anywhere everyone is. You'd have a tough time getting rid of me. The number of posts I have speaks for itself. :re:

Thanks, Lennie

Wendy, I would love to be a part of your forum too. It's wonderful that you girls are doing this!

I'm on the yahoo group too, but I'm still learning to navigate those boards.

the site I set up is at
http://sewingfriends.activeboard.com/

i dont' have enough computer knowledge to make a full website with articles and such, I just know how to use this one server for the message boards, and it's free LOL! Can't wait to see what your dh comes up with:smile:

Wendy, it looks great, and I know with the great bunch we have here, that we will survive this. And if Kaitlin gets a site set up, then we have that too. Bless all of you for keeping us going!!
