I am going to make some vintage purses to sell. I used some "Stiff Stuff" or Stiffy" for backing between the linning and the outside of the purse but fter just a short while of carryint the purse it has totally lost its body. I would like to have something washable but very firm to support the large rectangular clutch bag style. I also think a little hinged thingie at the top of each gusset would be nice. What do I need and where do i get it. I'd also like to make hats to match. I have designed one but need something to make it cap to the head. Got any links or Ideas that will help me???

Very cute Belinda. Unfortunately I can't help you out with products for the purse as they're all called different names here. Somebody will be along soon with an answer though I'm sure.

Great purse.
I can think of several things to stiffen one like that but none that I would wash.
