is confused about where we are landing??? Are we all settled with Kaitlinnegan's Sew What's Up site? I would like to get started with new games and swaps and such but don't want the confusion as to which site they will be on.
Please vote in the poll so I know where to go:re: .

It sounds like Wendy wants us to move to Sew what's up. Not that I think she is kicking us out but like me she started in deperation & didn't mean to do it permanently. But wherever we end up is fine as long as we are together!!!

go ahead over to Sew what's up :)

I'm certainly not kicking anyone out of Sewing Friends, and you are welcome to continue any swaps/games etc. there, but but Sew What's Up might be a more permanent board. I'll keep SF as long as there is interest, but am not offended if everyone goes to SWU

Hi Gina,
I have to admit I haven't been involved in any of the games and contests here, so I don't really know what you would like as far as forums on SWU. I'm making a forum "Games" under the Community category, but please let me know if you would like to organize it some other way.

I agree with Barb but either board is fine with me. I just think we need to get it down to one sooner or later. I'm spending waay too much time online when I should or could be doing other stuff.

Now if the majority say "I don't Care" we're not much ahead, are we? :whacky: :whacky:

Barb, what are your plans for the Yahoo board? Are you shutting it down soon?

I thought I would keep it open just for a place to get in touch if there is a shut down of the other boards like Mary had a few times when hackers got in. I don't think it will be used for everyday though. Once the other site is up & running. I just don't want to lose touch with people who have helped me through so much.

I know exactly what you mean. Love Wendy's site already but if it's not around in the longer term we should probably just go ahead now and commit to SWU.

It doesn't matter to me where things are sent but I get the impression that Wendy wants to back SWU and I think we should probably respect that. I'm just concerned about the number of family members we have registered at Wendy's site. We don't want others to get disgusted.

It is wonderfully easy to register at SWU.

This is how you get there.

[QUOTE=Kaitlinnegan;196914]The new permanent replacement for Sew What's New, Sew What's Up, is now up and running (thanks to a ton of work by DH!).

You can copy your Sew What's New profile to the new board automatically at http://talk.sew-whats-up.com/register.php. (The main page is http://www.sew-whats-up.com.)

I also think we need to decide on one site. I'm getting very confused - I thought Sewing Friends was the replacement. Now I learn about Sew What's Up (what's the Yahoo board?). Either SF or SWU seem great (kudos to the founders for all the effort). I also don't understand why this is not official in some way; when this site will close and when we should move over. I'm finding out about changes in dribs and drabs and rather accidentally; I don't want to be left behind.

It is official now. It's going to be the "Sew-What's-New" board run by Kaitlinnegan with help from her dh. Hey, it only took a week. Not bad, I'd say...... See you there.

Yahoo will stay open but won't really be active and Wendy's Sewing Friends will close down in a week or so.

Emacon here is the link to yahoo http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sew-whats-newfriends/

I started this group to keep us together until another board could be found. I didn't think it would be this fast. I am keepg it open just for announcements I case we need to get in touch with people if SWU goes down or has any hacker problems. I am not prmoting it as a place to post regular but as a place you can go to get questions answered if you have trouble.

Sorry for confusion! I have decided to close down Sewing Friends now that "Sew What's Up" has been created. It is open til August 21, 2007. then I will close it to new posts, leaving a message directing people to SWU.

Wendy,
I want to thank you for your quick action ... We all appreciate it.. See you at S W U...You gave us a minute to breathe and take some action so that we didn't feel so lost and alone.. I'm just so glad that Bob did such a great birthday present for his dear better half.. and all of us are reaping the huge benefits from that action of that dear Man.. But we do not want to forget what you did .. You are a very generous person.. Thanks again..
