Although I voted yes in the poll, it really would depend. If I believed it to be life threatening or something that could NOT be changed later, yes. Marriage to the wrong person and other things like that, no. Sometimes you need to make your own mistakes. |

I agree, it would depend on the circumstances. My kids have chosen the wrong mates, more than once, but who has a crystal ball. Some people have such poor decision making capabilities, it must be difficult for those that care about them. MaryW

I agree I would only interfere if it were life threatening. If one were to take up drugs, smoking, or drinking too much. I haven't and wouldn't on things like freinds, mates etc. because I have found that when parents interfere (even at an adult age) children seem to want it more. ------------------ Happiness is having time to sew!! I would intervene.. no matter what the circumstances... that is my nature and my son knows that!!! Of course, I do NOT tell him what he could do better.. I SHOUT it out..he laughs, and figures out that I am menopausal & Italian!! therefore, he is the undergrad and knows that any or all influences of such will affect him in time... so it is OK.. I have learned from my mother that "it works out thru guilt".. http://www.sew-whats-new.com/forums/biggrin.gif oh BTW that is the Italian http://www.sew-whats-new.com/forums/biggrin.gif Karen Karen
