It worked!!!!!!! Now you can all see what this crazy person looks like. I can't believe it worked. LOL Hey Mary, maybe you could figure out a way we could post our own pictures of our projects that would be cool. It's better than using the don't you think. Yeah it worked. Susie |

Great picture, did you use a picture and scan it in or do you have a digital camera? Think it is a great idea. Good idea for our own quilt pictures as well. in Shirley |

Hey Shirley, I actually had that picture taken of me and my husband on a cruise we took and I cropped it so that it was only my face. I used a Corel program I have to size it and made it a jpeg format. I do have a digital camera and you could use a digital camera and do the same. That is a great way to show our stuff off. I tried to make several quilts but mine always come out crocket and look funny. All my grandkids have a small one I made them just by peicing squares together, sandwiching batting between the cover and the back of the quilt and then running sewing stictches across it diagonally so the batting don't shift. The ones in the galleries here in SWN are beautiful. I wish I had the patience to sit and do one the right way. I can't cut straight with the rotary cutter either. It always runs away from the straight edge. I even purchased one that is built onto the straight edge and can't get the darn thing to work. Oh well I better stick to embroidering and sewing. |

we have looked for ways to give everyone a page to show what they do, but the ammount of work that would be on this end is crazy.
I'm lucky I survived moms cooking :p

If you have webspace which you do you can post a picture of your creation by putting it on your webspace then linking to it using the img button when posting. Something like this: http://www3.nt.sympatico.ca/osted/Sherri/momsquilt.jpg So I clicked the img button then pasted the webaddress of my picture in there. Sherri My website

Sherri, awesome quilt. I have problems just doing basics on my computer. I'm afraid putting pictures in my notes is way beyond me. One of these days I'm going to have to get serious about using my PC.

Oh Sherri your quilt is beautiful. I tried to put a picture in the body of a post and it won't do it. Dave said something about Yahoo not letting you do that from their web pages and that's who I have my web page with yahoo which is geocities. I guess that's why. Susie |

Susie, Okay what did you do to get the picture? I tried and tried in Coral print and photo and it keeps telling me the image is too large. How small did you make yours. I can't seem to get it smaller than 75 pixels. Shirley |

Shirley, I just made it smaller and smaller until it was about 1.5 inches wide and tall and it worked. I had the same problem that you are having the first couple of times I tried it but I kept making it smaller and smaller and finally it took it. It has to be either a jpg. format or a gif format to work. Also the picture was blurry when I did it in the Corel Photo House but when I got it to take on SWN boards it was fine. I had to make it smaller and then I had to save it to a jpg format which compresses it for you. I got my picture to go in but now I can't get my backpacks pictures in my message body and I'm doing them both the same way. Hope this helps Shirley I was getting frustrated and almost my computer out the door. LOL Good Luck Susie |

How did you guys get your pictures for the avatar? That is so neat. If everyone did that it would be like sitting arond a table talking. Can you explain how you did it?

NOW all I have to do is find a picture of myself that I like. UGH That may be the hard part, especially since I wear glasses, and they usually cause glare
