Hi girls thanks for all the reply's to the arthritis thread,

My doctor told me I have plantar fasciitis, which is inflammation of the plantar fascia , , a thin layer of tough tissue supporting the arch of the feet , Here I was toldly convinced, it was all about arthritis.

I have to get orthotics made, exercise my feet , ice them, Never walk in my bare feet, they can heal up but it takes a long time ,
I let them go so long, there at a bad stage, pain going up to my knee's, I'm off work for awhile to rest them,

At least there may be a light at the end of the tunnel :bluesmile

Anyone having heel pain!! don't let it go... have it checked out, the earlier you catch it !!!the better.... if you want to learn more about it , look it up on google search engine, Plantar Fasciitis, it will tell you what to do about it and give you exercises to do. :bg:

Hope this helps someone else,

Bren, at least you know what it is and how to treat it. That is a bonus. With arthritis, there is no remedy really.

Bren,

I suffered from the same thing. I have a high pain tolerance but if I had to get up in the middle of the night and walk to the bathroom I would cry it hurt so bad. Went to the doctor for a year and found no relief. I have some good news. You might think I'm crazy but another sufferer told me to see a chiropractor. I did and after a visit or two I was walking barefoot without any pain. Good Luck!

Bren,

I've been thinking about you and wondering if you're doing well with the chiropractor. Are you in less pain now?

Hi Lori ,

Thanks for thinking of me, I went back to work for 4 hours today,
First time since I posted about my feet, there better at home and I have been able to get much better rest,

My chiropractor said it would take a long time because my feet were in pretty bad shape, I work 12 hour shifts and both my family doctor and chiropractor want me to work 8 hour shift's. so my job is going to acomodate me, i'm grateful for that.

I think its going to be a long process, but believe he can truly help me.Thank's for sharing your story with me , I might not have ever gotten help. So THANK YOU .

Trying to break in my orthotics, Is a real tolerence tester.
4hour's were long today , I couldn't get my shoes of fast enough.

Hope tomorrow is a little better LOL

Hello, dear Bren.
Have you considered doing 4 hour shifts only from now on? I understand most of us can not retire or do part time when we want. My SIL is a nurse and works 12 hour shifts, I don’t know how she does it! My day at the office, 8 hours normally, but sometimes 10 is all I can take! It’s full of stress, pressure, you name it. But I do think now, after my brother’s health problem, that we may be pushing ourselves too hard, that our bodies are not designed to cope with it. I believe that we ignore stress and forget that the health is more important that anything else we may gain through our hard work. I think I am beginning to see the light!
Dear Bren, this angel is for you to make you feel better

Good morning Miss Minx'

It's great to get up to such a great caring message, :bg:
I could go 4 hours and I'm sure they would accomodate me , but I can't afford it right now , I like to spent to much, lol, I would have to really pull my horn's in, not yet , LOL

My feet are getting better :bluesmile , it's slow , I wish , I had of known what I had a long time ago , I do have some arthritis in my feet , but the biggest lot of pain is from the plantar facitis,
My Chiropractor say's he will have me feeling 90 percent better in a few months. My ankles have stopped paining, and they kept me awake at night, my leg pain is cut in half, :bg: I am able to sleep and that is the best new's , Thank GOD for Laurie, and I mean that with all my heart, I have had this foot problem for 5 years, and it was getting so bad I really thought I would end up in a wheel chair, I PRAY I will help some other person , my doctor wasn't listening to me ,and maybe I was explaining how bad I was feeling , maybe we were both at fault, It really does not matter, as long as i'm getting help now.

So if you have bad feet, go to the chiropractor, they can help, my Moods ar even better, LOL

I am in the same boat, so to speak. I would love to give up my career, but I can not afford to, just like so many other people, I spend a lot and I like it! I like the freedom of independence! But when you think about it, how much does it take to survive? Not much, really, but us, big spenders, don’t want to give up that feeling of the earning power we have, I guess. I have a great income, but do I feel happy? NO. Because, I realized lately, I just want to live. :bluesad:

Dear Bren, I believe I have a Guardian Angel!
As I said before, it was wonderful to have this great caring and support on this site, I never dreamt of having such in my life. Your support helped me so much, it is hard to explain. All of you are strangers, yet I felt I could talk to you, when I could not talk to my mother or any other people I know, ‘aint it’ strange? I feel now you are my family. You pulled me through the most difficult period of my entire life – and I will never forget it and will be grateful forever!
I always help anyone in need, but will do more from now on.
