I would love some advice about industrial machines. I'm looking for one that can handle webbing and cordura and is simple (no zig-zag) and it doesn't necessarily need a walking foot. I've heard that most Japanese and German brands are good. What's been the experience with you guys? Thanks Nedra |

I've heard that most Japanese and German brands are good. What's been the experience with you guys? Thanks Nedra Nedra I have recently purchased a used Juki machine model LU 563. It works great. I am totally new to sewing but I did do some homework on Juki machines. I was told to look for a machine that is made in Japan. They are the best quality. Appearently there are other Juki machines out there that are made in china. These ones are made with cheaper components etc, so I was told. Mine has reverse and a walking foot. I think it is about 8 yrs old. I paid $800. You might be able to get a machine with no walking foot a bit cheaper. I am sewing sunbrella an outdoor fabric, usually 3 or 4 layers thick as well as sewing velcro to that as well. With no problems! Hope this has helped Mike from Ontario |
