As fly-lady has been saying all week, turn off the news and watch a funny movie.
Let's share some we've seen lately.

We watched "Sweet Home Alabama". It was pretty good, but being from Alabama, I thought alot of the accents were a little off.:bluewink: I've never seen a baby in a bar either :nervous: but the movie had some laughs.
On a scale from 1 to 4, I give it a 2 1/2. :bluesmile

A baby in a bar, hmm.

I saw Iris, very depressing but insightful.

The Secret Sisterhood of the Ya Ya Club was fun, I know that is not the right title, but it was very good, a woman's movie. A grown professional woman goes back to the small town where she was brought up and finds out some very interesting things about her mother that explain a lot!

And I do agree, turn off that news. We don't have it on much at all with a 12 yr. old grandson in the house. Too scarey and graphic for a kid.

I loved The Divine Secrets of the YaYa Sisterhood. Forgot about seeing that one recently. The story takes place in Louisiana. My SIL said the book was even better. She said the first book was the best. I think it's called Little Altars Everywhere.

I watched the Crocodile Hunter movie with the kids a while back. I thought it was stupid, but they laughed and laughed.:whacky:

One of the best films I have seen recently is "A beautiful mind" with Russel Crowe.

One's that really irritate me are things like "Enigma" and the bit in the channel tunnel in "Mission Impossible". Mostly because it is rewriting history /reality.
There are not two train tracks next to each other in the tunnel, they are in separate tunnels, and the americans didn't break the code! grrrr

I've seen the Crocodile Dundee movies too. Yeah, they are kid movies for sure.

My grandson LOVED the Lord of the Rings, he watches it over and over again. I have to say, some of the special effects and the characters are really quite something.

I watched Casablanca (again) one day last week. It's one of my favorites and I usually don't care much for romantic stories. "Of all the gin joints in all the world..." well you know the rest.
The most recent movie I saw at the at the theater was Head of State with Chris Rock. That was funny and you can take the kids.

We watched the Bourne Identity with Matt Damon. Very cool, the chase scene was the best. Wow!

Just saw Bringing Down the House in the theatre. It was very funny. Also if you haven't seen My Big Fat Greek Wedding it would be a great rental.

It seems to take me ages to get round to seeing films. I've just sat and watched "the Green Mile" and now I have to go and wash my face before I can be seen in public. If I let my husband watch that he'll be a wreak! We cried our way through "Beauty and the Beast" - source of much amusement to our teens.

We watched the Road to Perdition with Tom Hanks and Paul Newman. Very good. The acting was great and the child actors were so convincing. It takes place in the 30's, revenge is the theme and it's quite a stretch for Tom Hanks I think.
