I have what some consider a signifigant birthday next week - the old half a hundred. DH organised a party for me last night-15yr old DD kept him on track and had a friend over to "do" the food etc and I have to say it was great to circulate and chat to my firends without having to worry about the catering etc. We had an absolutely lovely time. Three of my really good friends who know me too well bought me a travel case for my sewing machine No more lugging machine and seperate bag of class requirements for me any more. Can you tell that I really love this gift Skye |

Yes, those are great. I went to a retreat a couple of weeks ago, and many of the quilters had them. I'll have to start hinting to my hubby. Happy early birthday!! |

DH bought me one for my machine(s) as a Christmas gift and I think also to protect the Pfaff Quilt Expression he shelled out for also. I love it. I can put my rulers, my cutting board, my travel iron, fabric, books, etc. right in with my machine. One other thing I'm going to invest in for my travel bag is a really good power strip with a long cord on it and I plan on doing that before we have our all night sewin this coming Friday night. That way, I can plug my machine and iron both in and forget about it. The travel bags are a relly good investment for those of us who go to classes, guilds, etc. I also take a machine with me when DH and I travel. Patsy Patsy

My travel bag has wheels on it so I don't have to carry it. It weighs a ton when I get it packed to go. Patsy Patsy

Yes mine has wheels too and lots of room and places to put all the gear. I imagine it could get very heavy when fully laden It will have it's first outing on Thursday when I am off to a machine quilting class - I want to be more adventurous and do more than stitch in the ditch on my machine. My friends now tell me that there was vigorous debate over what to get me.Once they decided on something for my sewing one travelled to my favorite shop and they helped her decide what to get. Helps when they know you well It was so nice to get something so useful Skye |
