My one and only 56 year old brother, Nicholas, had a heart attack yesterday. He is in the hospital right now. Doctors are not sure yet if they are going to operate. I would appreciate any help with the prayers, please.

Is this his first sign of anything wrong with his heart, Minx? He's in my thoughts and prayers and you too. Please let us know how he does and if the surgery is necessary. .

Thank you very much for your prayers, everyone. Nick’s condition has not changed much, but he is under constant observation. Doctors are having problems keeping his blood pressure down. I just keep praying…
Mother in Law, Nick was put on blood pressure pills about six months ago, so this is a shock, as we thought everything was under control. He kept pretty fit, walked 1 hour or more every day. I will know more tomorrow, Monday, about the operation etc and will let you know. Thanks for your continual support, ladies and please keep praying for him with me.

Miss Minx, we are all praying for your brother Nicholas to get well soon. I know how you feel, pretty helpless I bet. I will also pray that you have the strength to help your brother get through this ordeal. Keep us updated on his condition. Take care of yourself.

Thank you, Mother Mary and everyone.

I am being strong, I don’t cry in front of my brother. Do you know that we are the closest people on this earth? We have both been through hell and high water in our lives and we are the closest soul mates anyone can imagine. His illness to me is like someone is trying to sew off my arm! (No pun intended). He went through some tests today, but more tomorrow, so I don’t know the extent of his ‘hurt’ as yet, will know more tomorrow, Tuesday, 15th . My husband and Nick’s wife are hanging in there, all praying. They know the bond we have and they know if Nick is hurt – so am I. They also know that I will give my life for him any time.
So, please keep praying for Nick, everyone, as I am doing all the time. I know it will help.

MANY, MANY THANKS to all of you, wonderful people, for all your prayers! They have been answered! Nicholas is out of danger and is recovering! I don’t know the medical term for it, but the doctors went in through the vein and cleaned up some blood clots yesterday and today. Nick had rosy cheeks today! He will be on blood thinners and lots of other medication for a very long time, may be forever. But that’s OK, we’ll look after him and make sure he is calm and relaxed when he comes home in a few days.

I never really understood (but I thought I did) the great strain that the family of an ill person is under. I know some of you have been through it in your lives, but this was my first one. I feel for all of you who have suffered like this and I know I will pray more often from now on and for more people. Thank you very much for your support.

I am so happy for you Miss Minx, that your brother is on the way to recovery. I only hope that CHuck's heart catheterization goes as well this morning. Hopefully I will have good news tonight. It's in the good Lord's hands now. Thanks for your support.:bluesmile

Hey Minx,

Prayers do work. I believe in the power of pray. Even the doctors are starting to see that faith can heal. Glad to hear he's okay.

Miss Minx, So happy Nicholas is better. Always keep him close to your heart. I just lost my brother in Sept 02 and my mom in Nov 02 so I know the pain you experienced. I'm totally lost without them!

God speed his recovery, and God Bless you all!!
