Hey Bren, the one about Coca Cola removing rust reminded me, my hubby's brother told him that lime Kool-aid would remove rust from some tools that their dad had left out in the rain. He mixed several packs with some water and soaked the tools in it over night. It worked. Made me wonder what the stuff was doing to our kids stomachs. The Coca Cola too. I've heard of mechanics using it to clean old oil off of motors. |

Hmm, so if I get a hairball, all I have to do is put Vaseline on my nose and lick it.

Bren, thanks for some great tips, I will certainly try out a few of them. I know Listerine mouthwash works, I gargle with it after I clean my teeth and that’s the last thing I do before I go to bed (I don't dilute it, it is strong, but you get used to it). I don’t have as many colds as I used to have, it does kill germs that you breath in during the day (they stay in your nose and mouth at first, I am told). My mother swears by Vicks, mentholated rub, for everything, for your cough – rub on your chest, for a cold – under or in your nose. That’s the only remedy we knew as kids. |

I've seen this work using coca cola. The battery in my Expedition died one Sunday evening when DH and I were on the way to evening church services. DH had to make a stop by his log chink plant to drop something off to be picked up the next morning by his partner. He turned the car off and when he got back in and turned the key -- nothing. The battery was totaly dead. We called some friends and they came to jump start our car so we could get it home. My dh's friend had stopped on the way to rescue us and bought a can of coke. When he took the battery cable connections lose from the battery, he poured the coked each battery connection and it took the corrosion off immediately. I've wondered since that time what the inside of my stomach must look like with as much vanilla coke as I consume each day? Patsy Patsy

Another way to get rid of toenail fungus is Vicks Vaporub, twice a day. Also, white vinegar. Keep it in a spray bottle in your bathroom and spray your toes every day. Do it while you are in the shower and the vinegar also helps to clean out the soap scum. Clean your toilets with Coke. Also denture tablets. They work like a charm. Baking soda and water also remove the corrosion on battery terminals. Brockie
