If you are lucky enough to have your Mom around, what are you going to do for her this Mother's Day?

If you are a Mom, what do you think you would really like to do on Mother's Day?

I just wanna relax and see my kids and grandkids. I couldn't want for more than that. To know they are all safe, happy and healthy means the world to me.

Our playschool has there major fundraiser the day before mothers day. I am hoping I am not going to do much there this year.

I just want to relax a dream would be to spend the weekend camping with my kids and dh.

I always send my mom the biggest fruit basket around. She loves fresh fruit. And often they have different fruit that she wouldn't normally buy for herself because of expense. Last year she fell in love with mangos.

DH and I will be leaving Oklahoma City on May 8 to travel to West Virginia to see my Mom for Mother's Day. Haven't seen her since last September and she isn't doing very well these days. :bluesad: She'll be 86 in August so I don't know how much longer we'll have her. She's getting more frail every day.

I'll be baby sitting 3 of my grandchildren while their Mom and Dad are out of town. Couldn't think of a better place to be or to do on that day.

Good Morning Ladies,

I still have my Mom but as Patsy says about her Mother my is not in the best of health. She's not as old as Patsy's, she's only 75 but she's been in poor health for a few years now. I'd love to take her out for lunch and for a Sunday drive somewhere but it depends on how she is feeling that day if she feels well enough to go anywhere.

As for me, my best Mother's Day would to be able to see all my children with their spouses and children spending a beautiful day togther somewhere. One of my sons and his wife have been separated for over a year and they are now back together and are thinking of renewing their vows. That would truly make my day. And my youngest son has found a very nice girl who is hopefully "the one". She is a nice person and good to my grandson and my son. So I guess what I'm getting at is, my perfect day would be to have my children at peace with their lives. Best gift of all for a Mother.

This will be my first without my Mother.. I hope to see my grands that day, they always make me smile or laugh.. Bren-- do sew something for your Mom.. When my sister and I were going thru my Mom's things to move her into the nursing home, I pulled open a dresser drawer and folded so neatly were all the garments I had made for my Mom in the last 10 or so years. All together in that one drawer.. blouses, handkerchiefs, nightgowns, scarves, and aprons...My sister smiled and said 'Look at Mom's treasures.' Did my heart good. I saw her wear them, but I didn't realize she kept them all together.
So this Mother's Day , I will have to pin a White Flower on when I go in church, instead of Red, but I will smile because we had her love for 87 11/12ths years.. All of you give your Mother a hug from me..

I sure will give mine a hug. I just got a call from my dear mother and she is short winded and probably will be going to the hospital as soon as the doctor calls her back. Please say a pray for her she is very precious to me and she' s a wonderful person as a whole. She has rumatory arthritis and her lungs are in bad shape because of it. She's had conjestive heart failure twice and looks like this might be the third time. I'll keep in touch.

Usually I cook dinner at my MIL's house or have the 40 or so family members to my house for dinner. This year I have decided to enjoy my mothers day. My mom lives out of state. This year I am flying her in on Wednesday. Having her spend a day with the grandkids then she and I are off to a Mother's Day Weekend Quilt Camp! We will make quilt tops, have massages, eat gourmet food that we didn't have to prepare and go shopping! I can't wait. Seems like ages since I've had time to spend with her one on one! The family get together will have to wait til Father's Day this year!

My daughter and I, along with my grandaughter this year, will walk in the Race for the Cure for the third Mother's Day in a row. I am a breast cancer survivor almost 5 years now! It is something I look forward to very much.:bluesmile :bluesmile

Susie, she is in my prayers...
We have a New Mom in our family this year to celebrate, also ! ! My neice gave birth last Saturday to a beautiful little Girl.. Madelyn is a week old today and we are so blessed to have her in our family.. Her birth is so timely to lift all our spirits for this Mother's Day... She weighs 8 lb. 7 oz. and is 21 inches long ..I cannot wait to spoil her a little bit.. (Payback time to my sister, who did it to my Grands) .. not really, loving a child does not spoil them.. Indulgence does, and I don't do that..

I don't have a mother (or grandmother) and I'm not a mother.
But I AM making a quilt for my mother-in-law. (since I just got my machine back from the shop I hope it's done in time FOR mothers day)

Tomorrow I'll be shopping for fabric for a quilt for my father-in-law for fathers day. (no dad or grandfather either.
