I am concerned because I have not seen any posts from Malibu lately.. Is she on vacation, or maybe just busy with work or something? It just does not seem like her.. I sure hope she is OK..

I noticed that too Libby. A few weeks ago I noticed she hadn't been on and was about to post something about her not being on and she answered someone's post so I didn't say anything. She helped me out so much when I first came on the boards I really missed her when she wasn't on. Anyone know what happened to her?

I'm not dead yet, but health problems have had me down. I've got too much in pain going on to sit at the computer very long, and no, I haven't been at the sewing machine either. I've been going to a rheumatologist who is trying to get medications and dosages worked out...hopefully, one of these days I will feel more human. It just seems that I have to feel worse before I can feel better. :bluesad:

Kim, that's what my Mom has is Rumotiod arthritis and it's no picnic. Hope everything works out for you. Please take care. With that kind of arthritis the cure is sometimes worse than the arthritis. Take care and my prayers are with you. There is a website for arthritis with boards. They have plenty of information about medication and a friendly bunch that can advise you of what they have been through with the different medications.

Hope to see you back in full force soon.

Well…. the birds love me and also the cats! Even though they don’t get on with each other, they get on with me. :bg:

Malibucat, hope you get better soon, I hope the worse is over. By the way, I love your cat, it’s just gorgeous! MissMinx is my Burmese female cat (I have a boy as well, MrSam) and I love them to bits. Hope to hear you are better real soon! Or everyone will be very

Hey Gang, a belated thank you for your good wishes. While I don't have rheumatoid arthritis, I do have another type of arthritis with other things going on. I'm not sure what-all the doctor has decided on me...I'm having a hard time remembering all that he says. Next time, I think I'll either take a notepad or a translator with me.

That dang bird did his dirty deed right on Kim's head. :bg:

Just as we were going into the hotel, I didn't laugh really hard. :bg:

Kim, I read recently that you should always take a friend or a notebook along when you go to the doctor for anything but routine exams. It is hard to remember everything s/he says and at least with a written account, you can always go back and check - or formulate questions for the next time you see the doctor. I did this (going along with) for my friend many years ago when she was diagnosed with cancer and was visiting doctors almost daily. Then between the 2 of us we were pretty on target with what he had said, next time I would definately take a notebook too.

Kim how about one of the little hand held recorders. I don't think your docs would object to that if you explain you have a hard time remembering all of their instructions. Hope you get to feeling better real soon.

I was back to the doctor yesterday....it is definitely fibromyalgia tangling with my original spinal problem. He changed one of the meds...reduced the dosage on another. I had written a list of some of my symptoms as I remembered them this week and saved the paperwork from the drugstore on the med and it's side effects...underlined some of those. The problem is that the possible symptoms and side effects of the meds are the same anyway...so instead of quitting the med, he reduced the dosage. It would be nice to have my mind back...but it's really confusing to have my whole personality change. Worst of all, I can no longer just automatically do the things I always did myself...things that I liked doing...I have to stop and think first. *Sigh*

Kim have you gone to any of the support groups on line for fibromyalgia? I have a friend that also has it and says that she gets a lot of support and understanding from them. She has also said that the hardest thing for her right now is remembering things.
Hope the change in meds helps you and you are feeling more yourself soon.
