Just called a pizza place and what irks me is people who answer the phones talk too fast! I'm constantly asking them to slow down and repeat themselves. Does anyone else have this problem? I usually tell them I can't listen that fast. LOL.

Sherri, that's ok, I wasn't talking about you, I mean't in general. My son talks fast too, I'm always telling him to slow down too.
I sincerely hope I didn't offend anyone.

Amen Sherri -- my sentiments exactly. We, women, are not exactly perfect creatures to live with either.

Sorry girls, but I ALWAYS wanted to be a fast speaker, but not as fast as a machine gun, and yes, I know what you mean. I’ve only come across it in the latest generation, I guess it’s the ‘IN’ thing they are going through (Oh, one can only hope!). But what irks me more than anything, is the direct marketing phone calls. I am at home after work, relaxing and SUDDENLY, they call you at 8pm with their shpillll.. my answer now is “NO THANK YOU’ instead of #$%^ off! I think I am in control now… :bluewink: :whacky:

You need to move to the NWT of Canada we get very few marketing telephone calls (maybe 3 a year). Nobody wants to sell us anything.

Patsy Locally they have Stitch and - - - - - (rhymes with stitch but starts with a B) sessions but I won't go because all they do is complain about there husbands and I really don't have all that much to complain about.

Plus if I did I would probably be talking so fast no one would understand me :bluewink: being from that younger generation you were all talking about.

I have a dear friend but i have to admit to avoiding her phone calls and hiding online so i don't have to hear about the latest horribles her husband did....And I really hate when she gets on the kids kick! The kids are driving me nuts, the kids are animals, the kids make to much mess and so on....I think why have them if you don't want to parent them!

Thanks it felt good to rag about that!

One of my biggest pet peeves is when I am in the grocery store and have been waiting in a line that has four or five other people in front of me and some one just comes up behind me and a new lane opens up and that person goes running!

Another pet peeve of mine is people who see you're waiting for a parking space and they go around you an pull into it!
Also teleamarketers that won't take no for an answer and try to badger you.

Dawn --
I think you are my pet peeve and I am yours.
I get very annoyed with people who sit and wait for a parking place so they can cut out a few steps. They stop in the middle of the road and I just have to wait on them although I'm going to end up in the back 40 -- which I don't mind but I don't like having to wait on someone else to get the choice spot so I can get there. It's rude and if I can get the spot they are waiting for -- I'll take it. I'm not always the nice guy.

Anothe Pet PEeve. Everybody in this silly town decides to ppark in the middle of the street and talk to the buddy through the open car window. Blocking both lanes of traffic.

What is that?

Hey, Sherri,

I hate the "B" word, so I wouldn't want to associate with a group that uses it as a part of their 'mission'.

My pet peeve is when people are too lazy and inconsiderate to return their shopping carts to the cart corral...sometimes you can't find a clear parking spot because there is a cart in every one...and if it is a windy day, expect to get scratches and dents.
Take care,
Donna

Mine is telephone manners. When someone calls my number and when I say hello, they say "who's this?"

I will not tell them until they explain who they are and what they want. I just see red when this happens.

Dorothy, I don't wait in the middle of the road and I only wait if I can't find anything else! I'm not afraid to walk, thank you!!

Dorothy, that is not nice!!!… If you were to take my spot that I’ve been waiting for, I would just run my car into your car and say: “Insured, insured!”, remember that movie? :bg:

I registered Just to post this message!!

My Pet Peeve is people who think that just because she is a woman, my wife knows nothing about cars or computers.
She knows more than I do about both of those.
When we take her car in and the mechanic automatically talks to me just drives me nuts!! I have no idea what the guy is talking about. It just makes me want to smack them.
When i have a problem with a computer, she is the only one i can turn to for help.
She is truely an amazing woman!!

Hi Poul, you are so very generous! Even if I know more than my DH in both areas (he does not drive, but uses PCs), he would not acknowledge the fact. Sherri, you are a lucky girl!
Actually, I was probably the first woman in this country to insist and get a bank account without my husband's co-signature back in the early 70s! I don't know if it was the same for women in the US in those days...

My biggest pet peeve is women who complain about how miserable and uncomfortable they are in the last trimester of pregnancy. My daughter was born 14 weeks early. She was on a ventilator, had blood transfusions, apnea, bradycardia, premature anemia, bronchiopulmunary displasia, ROP, and had to endure many painful procedures. Her prematurity will have a lasting impact on the rest of her life. Women have no idea how lucky they are to even make it to 9 months of pregnancy.

No, I have a few more. Telephone manners really hits home with me, but also people who complain about everything!

Either do something about it or be quiet. Rambling on about everything accomplishes nothing.

People who come to work on Monday morning with a chip on their shoulder because they had a lousy weekend at home, as if their co-workers are the reason they had a lousy weekend.
